Working with Trauma in Children & Adolescents Using Trauma-Focused CBT

February 7, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Traumatic stress in children and adolescents often underlies clinical presentations, and can hinder treatment outcomes. During the webinar, the presenters will discuss TF-CBT as an evidence-based model for children and adolescents with trauma and/or PTSD. This model can be implemented in settings such as schools, acute adolescent inpatient units, private practice, CAMHS, child protection/OOHC, and any other services working with children and adolescents with trauma. Currently, this model is the most evidence-based model for the treatment of trauma / PTSD in children and adolescents. There will be a Q &A opportunity for members.

Participants will:

• Learn about assessment of PTSD in children and adolescents

• Gain an understanding of TF-CBT and the evidence supporting it

• Be provided with an overview of the implementation of TF-CBT

• Explore a TF-CBT case study

A certificate of attendance will be provided to participants who attend the live session.

Tickets can be accessed through the Eventbrite Page. Tickets are free for ASTSS members using the code ASTSS0123
