Nightmares in PTSD

Nightmares are hugely impactful, core symptom of PTSD. They come as a form of re-experiencing and are very distressing, leading people to avoid sleep altogether and often leading to hashtaginsomnia.

Research also shows that non-specific treatments for insomnia like CBT-I have limited success. However, a form of imagery rehearsal therapy, known as nightmare rescripting, can help!

Our friends at Phoenix Australia have a clear guide on how to conduct this with those experiencing PTSD-related nightmares 👇
