The Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health at the University of Melbourne undertakes world class trauma related research, policy advice, service development and education. ACPMH’s innovative services help organisations and health professionals who work with people affected by trauma.
ASTSS is an association of trauma professionals which provides a forum for the advancement of knowledge about the nature, consequences, prevention and treatment of highly stressful experiences. It aims to foster the development of initiatives which seek to prevent and/or minimise the unwanted consequences of such experiences and to contribute to informed discussion on ethical issues and standards of practice and the development of professionalism in the field. ASTSS liaises with professional, scientific and other relevant bodies and enjoys a close association with other major national and international traumatic stress organisations. ASTSS is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation.
